Full-season weekly pools use tiebreaker games to break ties on weekly standings. Before each week (or anytime from Settings → Week Setup), the commissioner chooses which game(s) players use for their tiebreaker score guess.
One vs two tiebreaker games
- One tiebreaker game — players enter one combined score guess (usually total points) for that game. That alone breaks ties for the week.
- Two tiebreaker games (primary + fallback) — the primary game breaks most ties. The fallback game is used only if the primary does not produce a unique winner.
"Let OPH pick this week's tiebreaker game(s)"
This checkbox is a shortcut, not a separate format. It respects whichever tiebreaker format you selected above (one game or two). OPH picks the games for you using the same rules as automatic defaults.
For NFL weeks, OPH typically uses the latest Monday night game as primary and the latest Sunday night game as fallback (when two games are needed). If there is no Monday game, Sunday night games are used instead.
What if I skip a week or never open Week Setup?
You do not have to manually configure every week. If you skip Week Setup or click Skip for now, OPH automatically applies the recommended tiebreaker games when that week becomes active — the same Monday/Sunday logic described above.
The tiebreaker format (one game vs two) is saved at the pool level when you save any week. If you set Week 1 to "one tiebreaker game," that applies pool-wide unless you change it on a later week's setup screen.
If you never save any week setup at all, the pool default is two tiebreaker games with OPH auto-selection each week.
Where players enter tiebreaker scores
On the pick sheet, tiebreaker fields appear for the configured game(s). Tiebreaker guesses lock when picks lock for that week — usually at the first kickoff of the week's slate unless you set a custom entries lock time.
